May 19th. It's been an extraordinary week in trying to get tickets for everyone who wants to go to Cardiff. This was by far the most difficult match I have ever encountered. We set down five sets of criteria and almost all who applied in time will get a ticket. Leeds only gave tickets to Leeds Members card holders (not to be confused with Supporters Club members) and Season ticket holders. The work put in to secure the quantity we got was immense and I would like to thank Peter Sebine in particular for his help. The Louth Branch will have approaching 20 members in Cardiff. They will travel via Leeds, Bristol, London, Birmingham and ferry. Best of luck lads and please God we will be back in the Premiership by the time of our next news. For those who aren't travelling you can enjoy the match in Wisemans of Bridge Street. Marching on !! May 11th. There will be a meeting in
Peadar McArdles on Monday, May 15th AT 9 Ticket News - Please don't feel guaranteed of a ticket for Cardiff from the Lout Branch. Only Season ticket holders and Leeds Members card holders will have the first pick according to LUFC. We will do our best with the small allocation we receive but the demand will far exceed the supply on this one. Important Notice - In view of Leeds now playing Preston NE in the first match of the Play-Offs at Elland Road on Friday May 5th, our Quiz planned for this night is cancelled. There are a number of members travelling to this match. The Quiz will nou occur on Friday, June 9th at 8:30&; Also names are now been taken for those interested in attending the Play-Off Final (should Leeds get there). There is no guarantee re tickets and I stress this. For those who aren't travelling to Elland Road we will be watching both legs of the Play-Off Semi Finals in Wisemans.

Obviously many things surrounding this match are up in the air and shrouded in doubt but names to be submitted to the Secretary or a members of the committee asap. Play-Off Ticket News. The team that finishes 4th will play the Home game 2nd.&; The Play-Off final is in the Millennium stadium in Cardiff on Sunday May 21st. Sat April 22nd. It was good to see seven members of the Louth Branch see Leeds get back to winning ways. By all accounts all had an enjoyable weekend. Well done lads. April 5th. The Easter edition of the Louth Branch magazine will be winging its way to your doors from this weekend and should be with you by April 11th. April 4th At this evenings committee meeting it was agreed that our annual Charity Quiz will take place in Peadar McArdles of Anne Street, Dundalk on Friday May 5th. Kick off will be 8 PM. Please do your best to support this worthwile event. All of the proceeds will go to the North Louth Hospice who do unbelievable work.We are proud of our record to date with charities so please let us keep up this enviable record. March 26th. It looks like the Drogheda v Leeds match scheduled for June 18th will have the date changed. More details later when the new date is announced. March 25th Egg on my face this weekend after slagging some of our lads about not taking back the three points. Greg, Liam and myself took in the Stoke City match. Not our best performance of the season and hopefully our last hiccup. March 18th. It was a sad day today as Brendan Tipping (father of our Chairman Greg) was laid to rest. It's barely a fortnight short of six years ago that Brendan, Greg and myself attended the 3-4 thriller v Man United at Elland Road. RIP Brendan a really nice man ! March 14th.
I March 10th. Ten members of the Louth Branch witnessed an Eddie Lewis special gain us a late point v Norwich. It could be vital later on the in the season. Unfortunately, Kevin, Peadar and Peter Lynch have yet to witness a league win in four season of going to Elland Road. Please don't ask me for any more tickets this side of the summer. The word is that you guys would stop a train. March 7th. There will be members travelling to all of the remaining home games. Quite a few are booked up for Crewe Alex, Reading, Plymouth and Stoke City. There are a lot of value flights to Leeds and back from Manchester or Doncaster at the moment. If people want to travel over and back the same day there is value to be had travelling on the 9:25 flight to Leeds/Bradford from Dublin and back from Manchester that evening at 19:25 or 21:00 hrs. To catch these flights from Manchester there are trains to Manchester airport from Leeds city station at 17:09 and 17:25. If one purchases a bus special return ( which leaves you at the East stand) he/she can make this train for the 19:25 flight as long as he/she leaves straight after the match. If one wants to stay over and the flight from Leeds/Bradford is proving expensive on the Sunday, why not avail of the Doncaster airport flight at lunchtime on Sunday which usually excellent value. Trains to Doncaster leave approximately every half hour and take around 35/40 minutes. One can then take a shuttle bus from Doncaster train station ( which departs every half hour) to the airport or hop in a taxi for the 7 mile journey. If you want accommodation arranged or tickets for any of the remaining fixtures please get on to Greg and myself early. March 1st. Members wishing to buy a Leeds members card (£40 Stg for overseas members yet illogically £30 Stg for members living in Britain) will be allowed a Leeds members card for next season also, according to "Members page" in the Luton Town programme. It's still another unofficial tax in the view of the Louth Branch committee, but up to each member if he she wants to avail of the scheme. The Members card allows one apply for tickets in advance of others and is compulsory for ordering away tickets. Should Leeds reach the Play Offs this will be regarded as an away fixture. Feb 25th. Good to see John and Patrick Freeman back at Elland Road (for the Luton Town) accompanied by committee member, Terry McQuaid. Hope you all enjoyed the day. As usual "Schoolboy McQuaid" came back with all three points. Feb 24th. The Louth Branch passes on its condolences to the Oliphant family on the death of Paul's father. Paul and son David are massive Whites fans and will be taking in the Crewe game later on in the season. Feb 17th. The Official Norwich trip has been cancelled. There are already nine members travelling to this match and have alternative travel arrangements made. There are quite a few members travelling to the forthcoming Luton Town and Stoke City games also. Don't forget to avail of the different methods of travelling to Leeds. Doncaster airport have good value flights as well as Manchester and Newcastle so shop around and don't let Ryanair mug you the whole time via Leeds/Bradford . Feb 5th. The Spring edition (4th of the season) of the Louth Branch magazine was completed and posted out to members today. It will be winging its way to members and should arrive by Wednesday 8th of February. In this edition there are features on : What ever happened to Michael Bridges ?, Our Promotion Rivals, Louth Branch Quiz and Christmas draw, So you think you know Leeds United, Club News, and much more.... Sadness - The Louth Branch passes on its deepest sympathy to Mickey Foley, whose sister, Carol passed away after a long illness. Our thoughts are with Carol's family at this difficult time. Louth Branch members travel- Terry McQuaid, Paul Oliphant and myself witnessed Leeds biggest home win of the season, against local rivals Sheffield Wednesday 3-0. Best Wishes
- We
send our very best wishes to Anne Sebine, Beestons finest Laois woman,
and husband of diehard Pete, one of our finest members and good friend.
Anne is recovering after having recent surgery. Hopefully Pete is pulling
his weight around the house for a change and not talking about it. Get
well soon Anne and we will see you soon up and about. Next Official trip The next Louth Branch official trip will take in the Norwich City game on March 10th. €100 deposits to be paid ASAP to Liam Quinn. Further details to be announced.
